In the original WESTWORLD, The Gunslinger is a man-made robot used as an attraction in the adult theme park WestWorld, which resembles an American wild west town. The Gunslinger is programmed to start an argument and persuade a tourist into a mock duel. The Gunslinger always looses due to his programming. Things change when a virus corrupts the system, causing some robots to act violently towards humans as well as other robots. The robots of WestWorld appear on the surface nearly identical to humans and function in an almost identical way—the only distinguishing feature being a silver sparkle in each eye. Yul Brinner portrayed the Gunslinger in the original WestWorld.

Known to his friends as “Chewie”, Chewbacca was a legendary Wookiee from Kashyyyk and co-pilot of Han Solo’s ship, the Millennium Falcon. Son of Attichitcuk, husband of Mallatobuck and father of Lumpawaroo, Chewbacca carried the name of the ancient Wookie hero, the great Bacca. Chewbacca was a wise, sophisticated being of great strength and loyalty. As technologically savvy as the brightest Academy graduate, he was also a skilled mechanic.
So, today, in honor of that gentle giant, you are challenged to draw CHEWBACCA for about 30 minutes!

Captain Caveman and the Teen Angels was a Ruby-Spears cartoon series produced by Hanna-Barbera Productions in the late 1970’s. The show centered on the mystery-solving adventures of the Teen Angels (Brenda, Dee Dee and Taffy--and their friend Captain Caveman (Cavey for short), a prehistoric caveman whom the girls discovered and thawed from a block of ice. A mixture of Charlie’s Angels and Scooby Doo, the series ran for about three seasons on ABC.

While it is difficult to pin-point one mother figure in comics that makes a great representative for the role mothers play in our lives, the one that seems to stick out the most in American comics is AUNT MAY.
